Sidney Reilly was a legendary British spy who was born in Russia in 1873. He lived for danger, spoke seven languages, and had eleven passports and a wife to go with each. His exploits included the infiltration of the German General Staff in 1917 and the near overthrow of the Bolsheviks in 1918. This edition of his book, originally published in 1967, has a foreword by Dugald Bruce Lockhart, the author's great-nephew.

Dugald Bruce Lockhart is a successful actor and author in his own right, with his acclaimed novel "The Lizard" earning widespread praise upon its publication in 2020.
